This jack plane body was discovered by me in the agmedabad flea market. It has good quality accurate ‘machined’ slot. The mouth is large which was a first for me. This made me realize it was a jack plane meant for intial rough thicker and more shavings.
Since thick blades are difficult to find, I have used a chopped off chisel. Blade width is 2 inches. The wedge also has been cut by me. It makes very nice thin shavings and can give other non-jack planes a run for their money. Recommended for beginners as their first plane. It will be shipped sharp and ready to use.
